Village of Fredericton Junction

*Update* Riverside Drive

Memo: from DTI Re: Riverside Drive (Fredericton Junction)

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DTI) will be over-spanning the culvert location with a steel-stringer bridge that will be laid on top of the road surface and will be absorbing the brunt of the weight of passing vehicles (therefore not impacting the failing culvert).  DTI staff will be meeting on site Wednesday November 8th to discuss the planning of the work and other logistics.  If the permit from ELG is obtained by the end of day tomorrow (the 8th), the plan will be to mobilize on site on Thursday the 9th to begin installation of the above-noted bridge.  It is expected that it will only take 2 to 3 days for the work to be carried out but, to be safe, residents should expect a maximum of 5 days of work, as a worse-case scenario, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
