2023 Budget – Council has finalized and adopted the 2023 budget. The tax rate will remain at $1.3392

Annual Tree Lighting – The annual tree lighting will take place Dec 3rd at 6pm at the caboose. Refreshments to follow at the Curling Club. Santa and the Grinch may make an appearance

Christmas Office Hours – The office will be CLOSED the week of Dec 26th and will reopen on Monday January 2nd, 2023. Should there be an issue, please contact your local Councillor.

Holiday Garbage Collection – Garbage collection over the Holidays will be done on Tuesday’s as usual. Garbage cans/bins should be placed back from the road to avoid any snow removal damages. It is not the responsibility of the village or the sanitation department to pick up garbage off the ground or out of snowbanks.

Christmas Family Assistance Project – This will be the 26th year for the Christmas Family Assistance project, which was organized in 1997 as a joint effort between the local community churches. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are in need. All families in the Fredericton Junction, Tracy, Hoyt , Wirral, Enniskillen area are eligible provided they are not receiving assistance from any other agency. If you wish to submit a family name for assistance (your own or someone else), please contact one of the following persons by December 3, 2022:

Please note: if you are applying on behalf of another family, please make sure that family is open to receiving help. All names are kept confidential.

Home Fire Safety Tips for the Christmas Season

.. Make sure your smoke detectors are working and the batteries are changed every 6 months

.. It is recommended to have a CSA approved carbon monoxide detector

.. Get a freshly cut tree if using a real one and keep watered

.. Choose decorations that are flame-retardant, non-

combustible and non-conductive

.. Use CSA certified light sets

.. Avoid burning wrapping paper in the fireplace or wood stoves. They burn too rapidly and generate too much heat

.. Avoid overloading wall outlets or extension cords

Fire Dept. Calendars – The 2023 Fire Dept. calendars have been ordered and once arrive, can be picked up at the Village Office. Cost will remain at $10. Thank you for supporting your local Volunteer Fire Department

World Junior Championships Viewing Party

New Brunswick Tourism & Heritage has offered to sponsor a community within the region who would like to hold a World Junior Championships viewing party.  The Village of Fredericton Junction is proud to announce that they will, in partnership with the Tri-County Complex, be hosting a viewing party of

the Bronze Medal Game on Thursday January 5, 2023, at 3:30pm

along with the

Gold Medal Game at 7:30pm (based out of Halifax, N.S.) on

January 5th as well in the M.E. Phillips Room.

This will be broadcast LIVE on 2 – 6×9 screens with surround sound.

This will be a family friendly event, but the bar services will be open.

Kitchen/Canteen services will be operating as well.

Winter Functions in the Junction – Feb 3-5/23

In collaboration the Tri-County Complex, the Gladstone Curling Club, The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 along with the Village of Fredericton (indirectly apart of FROSTival 2023); we bring you Winter Functions in the Junction – happening Feb 3-5/23.

Our hopes are that this weekend will help each organization get a chance to show case activities that some folks may like to try for the first time, get involved and become a part of.  Also, we wanted to offer some outdoor winter fun this WILL include activities for all ages!

More details and schedule will be coming out in January 2023.
