to consider a proposed amendment to
the Village of Fredericton Junction Rural Plan, By-Law 2020-01
Pursuant to Section 111 of the Community Planning Act, public notice is hereby given that the Council of
the Village of Fredericton Junction is considering the following proposed amendments to the Village of
Fredericton Junction Rural Plan, By-Law 2020-01:

To include a new definition for backyard chickens, add a new general provision for the use, as well as
amend the existing provisions as necessary, and will amend the permitted uses in the village centre and
residential zones to allow backyard chickens as a secondary use.

A Public Hearing concerning the adoption of the proposed amendments has been set for Monday,
September 8th, 2025, during the regular meeting of Council. The Council meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. at
the Fredericton Junction Village Office – 102 Wilsey Road, Fredericton Junction, NB, E5L 1W7.

Any person may obtain a copy of the proposed amendments at the Fredericton Junction Village Office,
from 8:00 to 4:30 Monday to Thursday; or at the Capital Region Service Commission office, 1133 Regent
Street, Suite 300, in Fredericton between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Persons wishing to comment on the proposed amendment may do so at the public hearing or in writing
to Capital Region Service Commission, 1133 Regent Street, Suite 300, Fredericton, NB, E3B 3Z2 or by
email to planning@capitalrsc.ca. Written comments may be submitted to the above address until 4:00 pm
on Monday, September 8th, 2025.
