Notice of Public Community Meeting
For Project Proposals under the Locally-Owned Renewable Energy Projects that are Small Scale Program and the EMERA Atlantic Link Project
SWEB Development is exploring two project opportunities to design, build, and operate a wind energy project for the generation of electricity. The two opportunities being explored are Component 2 of NB Power’s Locally-Owned Renewable Energy Projects that are Small Scale program (LORESS), and the proposed EMERA Atlantic Link project.
SWEB Development is hosting a public community meeting as part of our early community engagement activities to discuss each of these opportunities in further detail. The public community meeting will present information about SWEB, the EMERA Atlantic Link project, the LORESS program, early project details, and other related information. We encourage interested parties to attend and provide feedback.
LORESS – Component 2 is a competitive process for procuring renewable energy projects that are up to 40 MW and are majority-owned by a “Local Entity”.
The Atlantic Link Project is a request for proposals by Emera Inc. for 900 MW of renewable energy.
